Kayla, I don't have fault with GM's pricing. In fact, I think I agree with some others here...she needs to decide who/what she's marketing her horses for. If they're "run of the mill, all purpose" types, like what I'm looking for, then $3k for a GREEN horse of any breed is on the high end of my price range.
But if she's wanting to sell to the "pricey" crowd, then they're probably priced too low and that sends up warning flags.
Here's another thing to consider...and again, I'm looking at this as a prospective BUYER. It doesn't matter to me what's going on in the seller's life, if they're trying to sell a horse, they NEED to make the time to present good photos, videos, etc. Because, if they don't, that tells me something about their priorities (related to the horses). If they don't have the time, abilities, desire to make a video, take pictures under saddle, etc., then do they have time to be working with their horses? Probably not. And, if they're undervaluing their horse because of their RL situation, it makes me think there's financial issues, so then I wonder...have the horses had regular farrier, vet, wormings, etc?
So that's my take. Either treat them like CL fodder, tell people to buy them "as is" without any additional work, and lower the pricing even more. Or, pony up, do what's necessary to market them to a pricier crowd, and put the andy's price at what it "should" be.
